Becoming Heritage Luxe

A reflection by Jaiye Collins

I didn’t set out to build a brand. I set out to reclaim myself.

What began as Stacked by Jaye—a creative outlet and a way to share my love for waist beads—became a deeper journey of remembrance. Over time, I realized I wasn’t just stringing beads together; I was reweaving connection—between heritage and healing, identity and adornment, the body and the divine.

Heritage Luxe was born from that awakening.
What started as a creative pursuit became a transformation—a philosophy of confidence, culture, and connection that continues to evolve with me.

The name reflects not only the evolution of my craft but the alignment of my spirit. “Heritage” honors the ancestral traditions that shaped this work—the women who adorned with intention, the principles of balance, confidence, and grace found across West African cultures, and the sacredness of beauty as a way of life. “Luxe” is my reclamation of refinement—proof that luxury can be intentional, cultural, and soul-rooted, not hollow or performative.

For me, adornment has always been language. The colors, textures, and materials speak without words. They carry memory, energy, and intention. My grandmother never spoke of spirituality the way I do now, yet she lived it. Every scarf, piece of jewelry, and simple ritual she kept in her home had rhythm and purpose. In her way, she passed down a sense of order and grace that I only now recognize as sacred.

Heritage Luxe is my way of continuing that rhythm.
It is for the women who have outgrown striving and want to adorn from a place of alignment.
It is for those who feel called to beauty that means something.
And it is a bridge—for me, for us—between the wisdom of the past and the world we are creating now.

This isn’t just a brand story. It’s a living one.
And I’m grateful to still be becoming.
